With nearly six years of experience in the self-storage industry — including roles in revenue management and data engineering at Extra Space Storage — I understand how data-driven operators make pricing and occupancy decisions. I've worked on pricing strategy across multiple divisions, helped build analytical tools, and been part of teams migrating the data systems behind those decisions.

That experience showed me something important: independent owners — the backbone of this industry — were flying blind while the big operators invested millions in analytics. The tools existed, but they weren't accessible to operators with one or two facilities.
